iBibTeX 1.01

iBibTeX is a reader app designed for managing .BIB files stored on Google Drive.

iBibTeX offers the following features:

• Login to your Google Drive account to automatically locate .BIB files.
• View all .BIB files in an organized list by year, author, title, location, and reference type. Filter the list by text search.
• Access detailed information for any reference with just a click.
• Browse PDFs linked to references if you are a user of BibDesk on MacOS with active AutoFile of PDF papers in a Google Drive folder.

Instructions on how to use:

1. Open the application.
2. In the 'Google Drive' tab, select "Change Account" and log in with your credentials.
If you use BibDesk on MacOS, click on 'Select Folder' and choose the folder where your BibDesk PDF files are auto-filed.
3. In the 'File Browser' tab, your .BIB files should appear (refresh if needed).
Add a .BIB file to favorites by clicking the + button next to the file name. Delete a file from favorites by sliding on its name and selecting 'Delete'.
4. Clicking on a reference opens a window displaying all BibTeX fields.
5. PDF buttons above the field view allow access to linked PDFs.

Important notes:

• iBibTeX is read-only and does not edit your files.
• Future expansion to other cloud services is not planned due to our University's reliance on Google infrastructure. Contributions are welcome, and the code is available for sharing.
• BibDesk integration may have limitations currently due to private data fields used by BibDesk for storing PDF information. It typically works well with auto-filing and fixed paper locations (set up auto filing in BibDesk Preferences/AutoFile).
